Another good day to update in the morning, if only because I am up. Had a wonderful night last night, come to think of it, had a wonderful day.
I woke up yesterday and went for a swim. I only did that because one, wait. There's more than one reason, so I can't say I "only" did it for one. I did it because my tattoo is peeling (three-quarters of it came off), because I haven't worked out in many days, and because I have a race on Tuesday. Wait.... what?! Yeah, I have a race. I have been challenged by/challenged a friend to race. And there's a lot of hype and ego on the line, and I really don't care except that people are talking about it. And Ian is being an ass about it. That is reason alone to win.
Anyway, after swimming, went to this party called Alice on South Campus. It's a party with foundations in the 70's, when people would do LSD and just goof off and do fun stuff. This year, I didn't do any drugs, but I did do fun things: water balloons, bouncy castle, human chess (sort of), body painting, snoozing in a hammock, eating cotton candy... All in all, it was a wonderful time. That plus the cake walk, where my friend Caitlin won a cake, meant that I got to spend the whole beautiful daylight hours out with some of my close friends being goofy and just enjoying the beautiful weather. Which, as always, is totally amazing as of the First of May.
After that, Josie, Margaret, Caitlin and I all went and cooked dinner and got ready for the party last night, which was Waltz. As I mentioned, I wasn't planning on actually going to Waltz, but I still wanted to get dressed up and go to some of the pre-parties. Which I did, and which was a lot of fun. Ended up playing spin-the-bottle with some friends, which was ridiculous, but admittedly fun.
After that, I made Max get dressed back up and we drove over to the bowling alley in Newton (town next door). People were giving us looks, there was Nirvana/country music karaoke in the background, and it was all around funny to see us dressed up and out of place. But, it was SO much fun. Max absolutely SMASHED me in the first game, but I won the second one narrowly. Mind you, my scores on the games were only seven points apart, so he had a bit of a learning curve... in the opposite direction. Anyway, I also won a free game of bowling, so on Friday when it's disco bowling, we decided to go back and redeem it.
Then we came home and put on The Talented Mr. Ripley, which is bizarre and really long. And was not finished before getting tired. And I got chocolate in my bed, but only because I was eating chocolate cookie things while watching the movie.
Anyway, I have to get going, because people are coming over at 11 and I am not even dressed. All I can say is that I am pretty happy, and that's what matters. Also, that Kevin Rudolf is still absolutely amazing.
