I forgot to do this...! So it is back-dated. Don't miss today's entry!

---

1. What did you do this month that you’d never done before?
Successfully navigated a break up. Or at least was about 200 times more successful than I've ever been before. That may not be successful entirely yet.

2. How are the resolutions coming along this month?
Okay.
Not so good about my language. Am much better on my conscience... I am much calmer now that Ian and I broke up. I was also better about updating. I have been great about keeping in touch, and I have a suit of armor now too. I am loosening up too... Still shopping too much... but I am definitely a Yes gal.

3. What would you like to have next month that you lacked this month?
Money. Always. Also, less anger.

4. What date from this month will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 6, 2009: Ian and I break up for good. Also, I decide to go to the University of Indianapolis next year!
April 22-24, 2009: My 22nd birthday extravaganza of sheer ridiculousness.

5. What was your biggest achievement this month?
Letting go. Of Ian, of control, of stress, and starting to let go of Grinnell.

6. And your biggest failure?
Ever doubting myself.

7. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
In the words of Lady Gaga, boys boys boys.

8. What song will always remind you of this month?
Day N Nite by Kid Cudi, Lark on my Go-Kart by Asher Roth, Like Whoa by Aly & AJ.

9. What was the best book you read this month?
Choke by Chuck Palahniuk (finished it!), The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Thomas Kuhn (finished at last!) and All About Love by Bell Hooks (started it!).

10. What was your favorite film this month?
I don't think I saw any in theaters... but I saw Yes Man again, and liked that still, though it is super cheesy.

11. What would have made this month immeasurably more satisfying?
Ian not being an ass. Such is life though.

12. Tell us a valuable life lesson from this month.
As my horoscope says: Much changes quickly this year. Just when you give up, in comes what you desired. You might be amazed at how this pattern repeats and repeats and continues to repeat. You see the power of letting go.
